Annapurna Circuit Trekking Overview

The Ultimate Himalayan Pass Adventure
The Annapurna Circuit Trekking is widely celebrated as one of the greatest high-altitude journeys on Earth. If you are looking for an adventure that challenges your feet and rewards your soul, this is the trek for you.
This legendary route takes you on an incredible journey through ever-changing landscapes. You will begin in lush, green subtropical valleys and roaring waterfalls. As you climb higher, the scenery transforms into alpine forests, eventually opening up into the dramatic, dry, desert-like hills of Manang, closely resembling Tibet.
The crown jewel of this trek is crossing the famous Thorong La Pass at 5,416 meters (17,769 feet). Standing at the top surrounded by giant Himalayan peaks is a feeling you will never forget.
At Alpine Asian Treks and Expedition, we have been guiding hikers safely over the Thorong La Pass for more than 28 years.
Our deep local knowledge guide and experienced porters,  focus on safety ensure you can enjoy this bucket-list adventure with peace of mind.

Safety Tips for the Annapurna Circuit Trekking

Trekking above 5,000 meters, proper safety planning is mandatory.
1. Slow and Steady Wins: We strictly maintain a slow walking pace to help your body adapt naturally to the thin air.
2. Proper Acclimatization: We never skip the rest day in Manang. It is essential for a successful crossing of the pass.
3. Hydration: You must drink 3 to 4 liters of water daily to prevent Altitude Sickness (AMS).
4. Experienced Guide Support: Our guides carry a medical first-aid kit, monitor your health every single day, and know exactly what to do if you feel unwell.

Exciting Route Option: Add Tilicho Lake to Your Trek!

The classic Annapurna Circuit offers incredible side adventures. When we arrive in Manang, you have the wonderful option to take a side trail to Tilicho Lake (4,920m / 16,141ft), known as one of the highest and most beautiful lakes in the world.
Depending on your time and fitness level, you can choose from two optional routes:
Tilicho Lake Side-Trip (Teahouse Trek): We safely hike to the breathtaking turquoise lake, spend the night at Tilicho Base Camp's local lodges, and then return to the main trail to cross the Thorong La Pass.
Note: This trail is more physically demanding and depends highly on good weather conditions.
Are you interested in adding Tilicho Lake to your itinerary? Just let us know! We are experts in customizing routes and will gladly design the perfect path for your group.

    An Amazing trip!

First of all an Amazing trip!

It was very good service from our crew. We had a very nice and cozy time together with our guide and porter. The guide Dilraj was kind to answer all our questions and he was always easy to find if we needed anything. Both the guide and the porter were always happy which makes us happy and safe as well.

Annapurna Circuit is normally 18 days but we arranged the trip to be 11 days so that we could get it exactly the way that fits our trip in Nepal – that was a very nice option.

The nature around Annapurna circuit is absolutely stunning and we have never seen anything as beautiful and amazing as this. Therefore, we will definitely recommend this trip to others.

Especially we will recommend our guide Dilraj and our porter Ramchandra because they were a king, happy, polite and very helpful crew.
