Ghorepani Poonhill Trekking Overview
Ghorepani Poonhill trekking is the short and sweet trek to enjoy the Annapurna Himalayan view from closer. Poon Hill (view point) is 3200m offers a panoramic 18o degree view to Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Manalu Himalayan ranges. The stunning sunrise from Poon Hill is an another life time experience. This trek is the perfect combination of nature, culture and Himalaya. The people of this area are very much warm welcoming. The trek is very convenient to children, aged people and family. The trail has small shop to sell water, snacks, tea/ coffee in every 20-30 minute. This trekking remains open all round the year.
Ghorepani Poonhill Trekking offers a good guesthouse accommodations. The freshly cooked food are hygiene and delicious. Generally we will buy a food from the same guesthouse where you will spent a night.

Trekking in Spring:
Spring season is the best time to trek to this area with clear sky and a good view of Himalayan peaks. The forest would be full of rhododendron flower. Weather would not hot and not cold.
Trekking in Autumn:
This season is another best time to trek to this area. This time is just after rain would be clear sky, nice mountain view and lovely weather.
Trekking in Winter:
Winter could be cold (the lowest -10) but would be a lifetime experience to play with snow and ice.
Trekking in summer:
This could be little bit disturbed by rain, land slide, flood and leech. But there would have some chance of mountain view after rain or cloud.

It would require a proper equipment to enjoy the trekking. The equipment depends on the season, personal experience and height of mountains. Altitude Mountain Sickness:
The maximum elevation of Ghorepani Poonhill Trekking is 3200m at Poon hill. Normally there would be 70% oxygen at an altitude of Poon Hill. A normal physical body condition would have no problem. For further details you can click here
Trekking Guide:
We will provide a good experienced trekking guide to make a memorable holiday. He would have enough experiences and have general knowledge about mountain sickness, health and hygiene. He also keeps knowledge about Nepalese culture and tradition.
Ghorepani Poonhill Trekking is an en route to classic Annapurna circuit. This trek can be combine to Annapurna base camp trek, Jomsom Muktinanth trek and Ghandruk loop.
Day to Day Itinerary
Arrive in Nepal
We will be waiting at Nepal airport upon your arrival. Transfer to hotel and after refresh, take an easy evening. You will have a meeting and briefing with our company manager/ representative and complete the documentation. He will check your equipment and other gears which you will require in trekking. We will invite you a typical Nepali dinner and after dinner, night rest.

Note: if your time permit, we will organize an evening tour to Boudhanath to see a butter lamp lighting. It would be an amazing and inspiring time in the evening, Buddhist people walk around the great Stupa.
Drive to Pokhara
Your guide will pick you up from our hotel and drive to Tourist Bus Park. Enjoy a scenic ride (6-7hr) to Pokhara. . There will have few stop for tea/ coffee, breakfast and toilet break before arriving to Pokhara. Check in to Hotel and take a easy walk around lake side. later in the evening guide will brief about the trekking. He will double check your equipment, permit etc. After dinner, night rest at Hotel.

Note: If you want to save time, we can arrange a domestic flight to Pokahra.
Drive to Ghandruk and trek to Tadapani
Breakfast will be serving at your hotel in Pokhara. Your guide will be ready with jeep and helper. Drive (2hr) to Ghandruk village. On the way, at Birethanti your permit will be check and continue along the Modi river side. You will be driving through the beautiful village, Landruk village to the other side of the valley. Enjoy the first lunch in trekking at Ghandruk village. After lunch, trek (3-4 hr) to Tadapani. Tadapani offers a beautiful view to Annapurna south, Fishtail and Annapurna south. Night rest at guesthouse. Dinner will be at guesthouse.
Note: If you are taking (Pokhara- Tikhedhunga - Ghorepani- Tadapani- Jinu Dada- Pokhara (4 Days) option, you have to take another route which separates from Birethenti. You will stay overnight Tikhedhunga. and next day hike to Ghorepani.

Trek to Ghorepani 2800m
Breakfast will be serving at guesthouse. You will have a beautiful view to Annapurna south, Fishtail and Hiunchuli. After breakfast, trek (6-7hr) to Ghorepani. The trail descend down to the river and hike to Bhaise Deurali. After lunch at Deurali, trek to Ghorepani. The trail would be through the forest. There could have snow in the winter and leeches in the summer. Ghorepani offers a great view to Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Night rest at a guesthouse. Dinner will be at guesthouse.
Note: If you are trekking from Tikhedhunga, this would be a sharp hike to Ghorepani. Lunch will be at Ulleri. Night rest at a guesthouse.

Trek Back To Tikhedhunga and Drive Back To Pokhara:
Wake up early in the morning and hike to Poon Hill 3200m. Annapurna range and Dhaulagiri can be seen stunning from the view point. The great sunrise is stunning. Take enough photograph, enjoy the nature and return to guesthouse for breakfast. After, trek down to Tikhedhunga where your jeep will be waiting to drive you to Pokhara. Check in to hotel and enjoy your great dinner with your crew? Night rest at hotel.
Note: If you are trekking to Tatopani, you will continue to north and arrive to Tatopani and the next day drive to Pokhara. IF you are going to Jinu Danda, you will continue to Tadapani and night rest at guesthouse. Next day you will trek to Jinu Danda and enjoy Hot Spring and the next day back to pokhara.

Return To Kathmandu
Wake up early morning and check out (7:00 am from the hotel. Drive (7:30 am) by regular tourist bus (approx 6hr) to Kathmandu. Transfer to Hotel. Take an easy evening. Night rest at Hotel.

Final Departure To Home

Notes
- Your big Luggage should be 12 kg each without your Carry bag (small bag). You have to carry 4/5 kg with a small bag during you walking on the Trekking. Your small bag should be over 30 to 40L.
- You have to bring personal medicine box for the mountain. You have to good physical condition is necessary to travel in Nepal. It is recommended to go to doctor for a checkup before coming to Nepal.

Best time to trek to Ghorepani Poon Hill
Poon Hill is 3200m high view point to enjoy the Panorama of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. The view point is The trek starts from Pokhara and end in Pokhara. It has comfortable guesthouses for night stay and food. This seems busy in trekking season (March/ April and Oct/ Nov). The winter could have fun with fresh snow.
