Ghorepani Poonhill Trekking Overview

Ghorepani Poonhill trekking is the short and sweet trek to enjoy the Annapurna Himalayan view from closer. Poon Hill (view point) is 3200m  offers a panoramic 18o degree view to Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Manalu Himalayan ranges. The stunning sunrise from Poon Hill is an another life time experience. This trek is the perfect combination of nature, culture and Himalaya. The people of this area are very much warm welcoming. The trek is very convenient to children, aged people and family. The trail has small shop to sell water, snacks, tea/ coffee in every 20-30 minute. This trekking remains open all round the year.

Ghorepani Poonhill Trekking offers a good guesthouse accommodations. The freshly cooked food are hygiene and delicious. Generally we will buy a food from the same guesthouse where you will spent a night.

Trekking in Spring:
Spring season is the best time to trek to this area with clear sky and a good view of Himalayan peaks. The forest would be full of rhododendron flower.  Weather would not hot and not cold.

Trekking in Autumn:
This season is another best time to trek to this area. This time is just after rain would be clear sky, nice mountain view and lovely weather.

Trekking in Winter:
Winter could be cold (the lowest -10) but would be a lifetime experience to play with snow and ice.

Trekking in summer:
This could be little bit disturbed by rain, land slide, flood and leech. But there would have some chance of mountain view after rain or cloud.

Trekking equipment:
It would require a proper equipment to enjoy the trekking. The equipment depends on the season, personal experience and height of mountains. Altitude Mountain Sickness:
The maximum elevation of Ghorepani Poonhill Trekking is 3200m at Poon hill. Normally there would be 70% oxygen at an altitude of Poon Hill. A normal physical body condition would have  no problem. For further details you can click here

We will provide a good experienced trekking guide to make a memorable holiday. He would have enough experiences and have general knowledge about mountain sickness, health and hygiene. He also keeps knowledge about Nepalese culture and tradition.

Ghorepani Poonhill Trekking is an en route to classic Annapurna circuit. This trek can be combine to Annapurna base camp trek, Jomsom Muktinanth trek and Ghandruk loop.

Best time to trek to Ghorepani Poon Hill

Poon Hill is 3200m high view point to enjoy the Panorama of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. The view point is The trek starts from Pokhara and end in Pokhara. It has comfortable guesthouses for night stay and food. This seems busy in trekking season (March/ April and Oct/ Nov). The winter could have fun with fresh snow. This trek is comfortable for family and senior persons as well as. We are specializing in operating this trek as per your requirement.
