Ashoka Piller: The Asoka Pillar was erected in Lumbini by the Emperor Samrat Asoka in 249 BC to mark the birthplace of Lord Sakyamuni Buddha. Theinscription engraved in Brahmi script and Pali language attests Lumbini to be the birthplace of Lord Sakyamuni Buddha.
The Asoka Pillar bears the first epigraphic evidence with reference to the birthplace of Lord Sakyamuni Buddha. The text translated as follows: “King Piyadasi (Asoka) the beloved of the Gods, in the twentieth year of his reign, himself made a royal visit. Sakyamuni Buddha was born here, therefore the (birth spot) marker stone was worshipped and a stone pillar was erected. The lord having been born here, the tax of the Lumbini village reduced to the eight part (only) ”.
Mayadevi Temple: The Mayadevi Temple is a heart of Lumbini and GLBC. It houses the Marker Stone, the Nativity Sculpture and the structural ruins, all related to the birth of Lord Sakyamuni Buddha. The Marker Stone pinpoints the exact birth spot and the Nativity Sculpture depicts the birth scene of the Prince Siddhartha.
Puskarini: also known as Maya Devi pond where Gautam buddha's mother used to bath to Buuddha. It is located infront of Maya Devi temple which is square shapped wiht step to go down to water level. It is the first place of Buddha's bathing is also considered a holy site.
Tilaurakot: It was in the ancient city of Kapilavastu where Prince Siddhartha spent his childhood and youth till the age of 29. It was the capital of the ancient Sakya Kingdom, where the prince was treated a luxurious life and later begin his spiritual journey. Prince Siddhartha left through the eastern gate of Kapilavastu, to start the path to enlightenment as Buddha.
Buddha Jayanti: The Buddha was born on Baisakh Purnima (full moon day) of 623 BC. He attained enlightenment on Baisakh Purnima of 588 BC and entered into Mahaparinirvana (demise) on Baisakh Purnima of 543 BC. The Buddha's birth is celebrated with various programs to promote Buddha's teachings. All over Nepal, at Stupas or Gumpas, various programs are organized to commemorate his birthday.

Day to Day Itinerary
Fly to Lumbini
Begin your journey with a warm welcome from your tour guide at the Nepal airport or from your hotel. You'll then be transferred to the domestic airport (Kathmandu) for a picturesque morning flight lasting about 40 minutes to Bhairahawa. Upon arrival, a private car will take you to your hotel. After checking in, take some time to rejuvenate before embarking on a guided tour of the sacred garden. In the evening, return to the hotel for dinner and a peaceful night's rest. Lunch and dinner will be at the hotel or a nearby restaurant.
Explore sacred garden and Tilaurakot
Rise early to visit the Maya Devi Temple, the birthplace of Buddha, and the Ashoka Pillar. Return to the hotel for breakfast before setting off for a day of sightseeing, including Tilaurakot, Ashoka Pillar, the Chinese Monastery, the World Peace Pagoda, and other nearby monasteries.
