Manaslu Circuit Trekking Overview

Manaslu circuit trekking is a pure adventure in the Himalayas. The highest pass of this trekking is 5213m at Larkya La. The trek offers the stunning view of Mt. Manaslu 8118m and Tibetan lifestyle. The mountain Buddhism and simplicity of life are inspiring in this trek. Manaslu circuit Trekking starts from Arughat Bazar eastern side of Annapurna and end in Annapurna after crossing Larkya la. The lower part of Manaslu is the settlement of Gurung, Magar, Tamang, Bramin, Chhetri and the upper part is the habitat of Bhotias (Tibetan), culturally and religiously dominated by Tibetan.
The upper part of Manaslu is a controlled area to the trekkers. Trekkers need to get a special permit to do a trek. Our company Alpine Asian Treks and Expedition P Ltd can apply for your trekking permit and manage other logistic support. In the deep winter, there are many chances to be blocked. To avoid from the Mountain sickness, Larkya Phedi or Larkya Bazar is the acclimatization place.

Best time for Manaslu circuit trekking:
For the best of Manaslu circuit trekking, you must trek either in March/ April or October/ November. Winter season can be (-5 to -30) too cold and rainy season can be too cold or cloudy.

Trekking gears:

Manaslu trekking requires to be equipped properly to a cold weather and rough mountain trails.

Manaslu Trekking Permit:
September to November US$ 70 per week per person and after 7 days US$ 10 per day per person or equivalent convertible foreign currency.
December to August US$ 50 per week per person and after 7 days US$ 7 per day per person or equivalent convertible foreign currency. Beside that ACAP2250/ person single entry and MCAP2250/ person single entry.

  • Four night hotel/ guest house in Kathmandu on BB (twin sharing)

  • All meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) whilst on the trek.

  • One day guided city sightseeing in Kathmandu by car
  • All the land transfer as per itinerary by car/bus.

  • Applicable trekking fees (Manaslu Conservation Area Permit, Annapurna Conservation Area Permit and Manaslu trekking permit).
  • Guide and Porters and other staff (one porter per two persons is provided to carry the clients personal effects)
