Mera Peak Climbing Overview

Mera peak climbing is an exhilarating adventure in the Khumbu region of Nepal, offering a stunning panoramic view of the world's highest peaks. The peak is situated in the Khumbu region, east of the Everest region. It stands at 6,476 meters (21,247 feet) above sea level. It is surrounded by Mt Chamlang, borunche, Thamserku.

Difficulty Mera peak climbing:

The peak is Considered a non-technical climb, which is suitable for those with basic mountaineering skills. However, it involves high-altitude trekking, and climbers need to be well-acclimatized and properly equipped. A well experienced guide would be the best choice.

Itinerary mera peak climbing:

The typical climbing itinerary includes a trek to Lukla- Zetrala- Tuli Kharka- and Khare. Acclimatization days are integrated to adapt to the altitude. There is another route after driving to sallery Tuli Kharka- Khara- High camp summit. The climb itself usually involves high camps, with the summit push from the highest camp.

Mera peak climbing Permits:

Climbing Mera Peak requires a climbing permit, which are obtained from Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) through the registered trekking agency.

Mera peak base camp:

The climb usually starts from Lukla and progresses through traditional Sherpa villages, dense forests, and pristine valleys. The base camp for Mera Peak is established near the Mera La pass.

High Camps: We set up high camps to facilitate climb and for acclimatization. High camps are strategically located, leading up to the final summit push.

Summit Views: The summit offers breathtaking panoramic 360 degree views of some of the world's highest peaks, including Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, and Makalu, Barunche, Chamlang.
