Trip Overview

Nepal is an ultimate destination to the Buddhist pilgrimage. The symbol of peace, Siddhartha Gautam (Buddha) was born in Nepal’s Lumbini in 623 BC.  Buddhism was entered to Kathmandu in 13th century by Guru Padmasambhava. There are culturally important, ancient  gumpas and Stupas around Kathmandu valley. The Swoyambhunath, Bouddhanath and other Gumpas (Tibetan teaching school) are highly appreciated by Buddhist people. The diffrent schools of Buddhism (Shakyapa, Karmapa, Ningmapa and Gelugpa) can be observed in Kathmandu valley. 

Seeing the Great Lama, listen to their great teaching and Meditation are the great opportunity while touring in Nepal. We have design this tour to provide the life time experience about Buddhism present in Nepal together with the Nepalese natural beauty.


Day 1 : Arrive in Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel

Our representative will be waiting in Nepal airport where you will welcome with flower and garland. Transfer to your hotel. If your time permits we will take you to Kathmandu Durbar Square.

That evening we will arrange a typical Nepali dinner in a traditional cultural restaurant. Night rest at Hotel

Day 2 : Explore Kopan Monastery and Nunnery

After a breakfast at Hotel, drive to Kopan Monastery which  is a Tibetan Buddhist (Gelugpa Dharma Center, Mahayana Sect) is as its headquarters. Kopan Monastery was estiblished by Lama Thubten Yeshe and Thubten Zopa Rinpoche. This is popular for teaching Buddhism to the westerners. They offer a meditations which includes of debate (traditional teaching) as well as. There are 360 monks from different parts of Nepal, Tibet and India and 380 Nuns at Ghakyil Ling Nunnery.

Day 3: Explore Bouddhanath

Bouddhanath is one of the holiest site to the Tibetan buddhist in Kathmandu. The Stupa is designed over the mandala, makes it one of the largest spherical Stupa in Nepal. There are more than 50 Gumpas around this stupa.

If you wish to see the traditional devotees’ offerings (bowing the body) you should go early in the morning and if you want to see normal activities and physical stupa would be no problem after breakfast.

Day 4 : Pharping Explore

Pharping is situated in the south of Kathmandu. This is one of important site to Vajrayana practitioners as important as Bodhagaya because it is where the second Buddha Guru Padmasambhava attained the state of enlightenment. 

There are two cave are believed to be blessed by Guru Rimpoche. Tibetans believe Pharping as Yanglesho (sacred cave) and feel proud to visit.

Day 5 : Patan Durbar Square

Patan Durbar Square is a UNESCO World Heritage site. This is also called Buddhist city within the valley. There are many Buddhist Gumpas, Monastery, Bahal and Chortens around. The major Buddhist sites are Mahaboudha, Golden temple, Ashok Chiyatya, Hirannyavarna Maha Bihar and so on.

Day 6 : Drive to Swayambhunath and Bhaktapur

Swayambhunath is another the most populoar site in Kathmandu valley to Buddhist followers. The speciality of stupa is a Busha eye.

Day 7 : Transfer to Airport and fly back to Home

Wake up early in the morning to see the sunrise from the Himalayas and snow capped Himalayan peaks. Take a breakfast and drive back to Kathmandu. 

We will transfer to airport and fly back to Hotel.
