Annapurna Circuit Trek has been much appreciated with its land escape, breathtaking Himalayan scenery, local people and the Throng La 5416m pass since it’s opened to the trekkers. This trek goes anti clockwise along the Marshyangdi River, with great view of Mt. Manaslu and Mt. Himal Chuli view and after crossing the pass the trek enter to Kaligandai Valley, world’s deepest valley. Annapurna circuit trek hikes gradually to the pass which is ideal to avoid Mountain Sickness and to acclimatize.
The main interesting sites enroutes are Hiking to Gangapurna glacier in Manang, explore the ancient village in Manang valley like Braga, Upper Pisang and Manang village. After crossing the pass Muktinath (Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage), Tatopani (natural hot spring) and Poon Hill (view point), are the best places to experience.
Detail Itinerary - Annapurna Circuit Trek
Day 1 : Arrive in Kathmandu 1300m
Upon your arival Our representative will be waiting in Nepal airport and transfer to hotel in city center. Free in the evening. We will organize a welcome Nepali cultural dinner at Nepali restaurant. Night rest at Hotel.
Accommodation: Hotel in the city center.Transportation: Private vehicle as per group size.
Meal : Welcome dinner in Nepali cultural restaurant.
Day 2 : Kathmandu Sightseeing
Drive to guided sightseeing to the UNESCO World Heritage Site (Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, Swayambhunath and Patan Durbar Square). You will have a trip brieffing at our office in the later afternoon. We will introduce your guide and check your equipment. If you require any items, you can buy or rest from local trekking store. Night rest at Hotel.
Day 3 : Drive to Besishahar to via Dharapani (1881m)
Wake up early in the morning and take a breakfast. Our trekking guide will pick you up form your hotel and drive to Chame via Besishar. This is a bit ling day but we will drive slowly stopping few times for tea/ breakfast/ lunch and for some toilets.
Day 4 : Trek to Chame (2725m)
The trail to Chame has many land slides. Especially it is difficult in a summer time. There is a long stone wall just before getting the Chame village (District head quarter of Manang). Annapurna II, Annapurna IV and Lamjung Himal are seen from here.
Day 5 : Trek to Pisang (3100m)
Today is a gentle walking with the fantastic view of a rocky mountain (Phungda Dada) which is 1500m high from the river. You can hike to Upper Pisang 3300m which is more traditional and bit higher.
Day 6 : Trek to Manang (3540m)
Now you are trekking above tree line. You may feel difficulties to breath as oxygen level is lesser. Bryaga is a typical village with flat roof before getting to Manang. This is a bigger town in the area. Trekkers who would like to visit Tilicho Lake and Mesokanto pass separate from here.
Day 7 : Acclimatization day at Manang
This is an acclimatization day before going higher. You will hike to Gangapurna glacier and Gangapurna Glacier Lake. Have an easy day. You can visit a famous lama 100 Lamas monastery. The views from Manang area are Gangapurna glacier and Gangapurna Lake Annapurna II, Annapurna III
Day 8 : Trek to Yak kharka (4090m)
Now you are hiking in the barren mountain. Enjoy the mountain views. Arrive in Yak Kharka and rest. Enjoy the hot tea, hot dining room and different people and their experience until getting there.
Day 9 : Trek to Thorong Phedi (4420m)
Beside the stunning view of mountain, you can be encounter with grazing blue ship. Arrive at Thorong Phedi village and rest.
Day 10 : Hike to Thorong - la Pass 5416m, then trek to Muktinath 3800m)
Wake up early in the morning and take a early breakfast. Start your trek early enough to arrive in the pass before the noon. Enjoy the Himalayan view around you. Take snaps for your life time memory. After the pass, the trail goes steep down. Sometime the trail can be blocked in deep winter.
Day 11 :Drive to Tatopani via Marpha (1219m), via (some trekkers fly from Jomsom)
Muktinath temple is a Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage site. Visit the temple in the morning. Trek will pass through the world’s deepest gorge. There is a good road towards this part of trekking. After breakfast take a regular local jeep to Tatopani.
Day 12 : Trek to Ghorepani (2860m)
Today you have to climb the last time of your trek and arrive in Ghorepani. This is steep before getting to the village. Ghorepani is one of the best view points for sunrise and Himalayan view.
Day 13 : Trek to Ghandruk (1951m)
Morning hike to Poon Hill (3210m) to see the sunrise and Himalayan view and after breakfast trek to view. impressive sunrise over the massifs Annapurna and Dhaulagiri
Day 14 :Trek to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara
Enjoy the last day in the mountain and trek down to Nayapul, our car will be waiting to you to transfer to Pokhara. Enjoy a night at Pokhara. You can invite your guide and porter to join you a dinner.
Day 15 : Explore Pokhara
Free day in Pokhara. You can do a sight seeing or just lay down and enjoy some beer.
Day 16 : Drive to Kathmandu
Take a regular tourist bus to Kathmandu. Free in the evening.
Day 17 : Drive to airport and fly back to Home/ join other trek tour
Final transfer to airport. Flyback to home. Sweet home.
